Papyrus Painting - The Sphinx and the Mask of King Tut Rising over the Pyramids on Dark Papyrus
The Sphinx is a limestone statue of a reclining sphinx (a mythical creature with a lion's body and a human head) that stands on the Giza Plateau on the west bank of the Nile in Giza, Egypt. The face of the Sphinx is generally believed to represent the face of the Pharaoh Khafra.King Tutankhamum...the youngest ruler of Egypt. The 12th king of the 18th Dynasty was only eight or nine years old at his succession.King Tut's mask is on display at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo and weighs 11 kilos. It is made of gold, and inlaid with blue lapis. All papyrus paintings are sent with "rough" edges, easily trimmed to fit your framing needs. Dark papyrus is aged by soaking it in water and letting the sugars age the papyrus, it breaks down the fibers and gives a very old authentic feel. You may notice that there are some pin holes on the canvas, this is part of the aging process. *****NOTICE**** Artist: Adel 100% Hand Painted on Dark Papyrus Canvas Available Sizes (Approx) 1" = 2.54 cm 60 x 40 cm (23" x 15") $75.00 100 x 70 cm (39" x 27") $90.00150 x 100 cm (59" x 39") $175.00 200 x 100 (79" x 39") $250.00
